Gas Corrosion Testing in Focus: Proficiency Testing as a Basis for Reliable Results

The quality and comparability of test results are essential prerequisites for generating reliable conclusions in environmental simulation. This is particularly true for gas corrosion testing, where materials and electronic components are exposed to corrosive atmospheres. In this context, the reproducibility of results is of critical importance.

Against this background, RST initiated and organized its own proficiency test (interlaboratory comparison). The objective was to systematically [...]

New reverse osmosis system at RST: Capacity quadrupled

Numerous testing procedures at RST – particularly climate, solar, corrosion, and fire tests – require specially treated water of defined quality. In recent years, the demand in these testing areas has steadily increased.

To meet this demand and reliably cover future requirements, RST has invested in a new water treatment plant. With the commissioning of the modern reverse osmosis system, capacity has quadrupled.

This expansion ensures that tests can continue to be conducted under [...]

Testing crimp connections (press connectors for power cables)

For us, it's not just the power that counts, but also the quality in detail. We test crimp connections both for their mechanical strength - including pull-out testing and measurement of the maximum force up to 50 kN - as well as for the internal values such as the number of strands and degree of filling. All of this for cables with cross sections up to 500 mm² to ensure maximum reliability.

Layer thickness measurement - at RST we offer both: grinding method and drilling method.

Fast vs Precise

The drilling method delivers quick results. But when maximum accuracy is required, we rely on the grinding method - direct measurement, without compromises.

Selectively va. Comprehensive

Homogeneity in view: The grinding gives us a comprehensive picture of the layer distribution, while the drilling method delivers precise results.

Making connections visible

Only the grinding method shows what really holds. The drilling method? She stays here in the [...]
