Did you know? Our fire laboratory tests rail vehicle products for the North American market according to ASTM and NFPA
Products that are to be exported to or placed in the North American market are subject to local laws and regulations. We support you with this.
We are accredited by DAkkS for 12 ASTM test methods. These include, for example, ASTM E162 (flame spread), ASTM E662 (smoke development) and many more. We test your rail vehicle products according to the requirements of NFPA 130 "Standard for Fixed Guideway Transit and Passenger Rail Systems" - the American counterpart to the European rail [...]

RST has expanded its scope of accreditation for environmental testing and fire testing DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018
The re-accreditation has been successfully completed and the new DAkkS certificate has arrived. We were able to expand our accreditation area. You can now also have accredited tests by us according to the following standards:

Family festival at RST on 13.08.2022
It was loud and colourful at RST on Saturday.
On Family Day, our employees showed their children, parents, aunts and friends their workplace and their company. What do mum and dad actually do at work? The guests got answers to these and many other children's questions during tours and demonstrations in the environmental laboratory, fire laboratory and materials laboratory.

RST was successfully re-accredited by the DAkkS.

Dr. Andreas Wende becomes the new Managing Director of RST
As of 1 July 2022, we welcome Dr Andreas Wende (pictured right) as a new member of our team. He succeeds Gert Schmidt and will head RST Rail System Testing GmbH.
Dr Wende was born in Berlin and has lived in the city of Hennigsdorf for many years. He brings 20 years of experience in the management of technical medium-sized companies and has previously managed major projects in the rail vehicle sector. RST is recognized by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) for fire test procedures according to FTP Code 2010 according to Fire test procedures code (FTP code)
The International Maritime Organization IMO has fire safety regulations for international merchant ships, called Fire Test Procedures (FTP Code).
This FTP Code contains requirements for laboratory testing, type approval and fire testing procedures of components and materials used on ships. InnoTrans is coming – preparations are underway
We look forward to the 13th Innotrans from September 20th to 23rd, 2022 in Berlin. Together with IABG, we present ourselves in City Cube B at the joint booth of the Brandenburg Economic Development Corporation.
