Testing crimp connections (press connectors for power cables)
For us, it's not just the power that counts, but also the quality in detail. We test crimp connections both for their mechanical strength - including pull-out testing and measurement of the maximum force up to 50 kN - as well as for the internal values such as the number of strands and degree of filling. All of this for cables with cross sections up to 500 mm² to ensure maximum reliability.

We have upgraded the vibration laboratory
We have really upgraded. Our latest achievement:
A brand new shaker from IMV CORPORATION - 74 kN strong, 3 inch travel amplitude. And a Railtable RT 1500 from CENTROTECNICA Srl, which offers enough space to move really big things. 1,500 x 1,500 mm to be exact.
What this means for you is that we are now faster, more flexible and ready to examine more long-term tests and even the largest test samples for our customers.

RST materials laboratory: an exciting audit day lies behind us. The usual follow-up work is currently underway. Thanks to everyone involved for the good preparation.

Classification of building products and types of fire behavior
We also test building products. The German Institute for Construction Technology DIBt has named us as a testing laboratory. Did you know? Our fire laboratory tests rail vehicle products for the North American market according to ASTM and NFPA
Products that are to be exported to or placed in the North American market are subject to local laws and regulations. We support you with this.
We are accredited by DAkkS for 12 ASTM test methods. These include, for example, ASTM E162 (flame spread), ASTM E662 (smoke development) and many more. Family festival at RST on 13.08.2022
It was loud and colourful at RST on Saturday.
On Family Day, our employees showed their children, parents, aunts and friends their workplace and their company. What do mum and dad actually do at work? The guests got answers to these and many other children's questions during tours and demonstrations in the environmental laboratory, fire laboratory and materials laboratory.
